Running Conversation: Abortion Is A Heart Issue

Running Conversation:  Abortion is not a political issue or a health issue, it’s a heart issue.

Who Do We Trust With Our Hearts

The hearts that beat in our body are not about votes or healthcare, it is a choice of Who we trust with our hearts.  Hearts trusting and fearing everything and everyone over God, is the issue. Killing life never solves issues of life; shaming people and changing the rules doesn’t change hearts or gain trust either.  What we do with our bodies and the bodies of others, is a heart and trust issue. It’s the heartbeat we focus on; focusing on who is making our heart to beat in the first place, is where the focus becomes very clear and life giving. Stopping a heartbeat kills life, and trusting in the one who creates hearts and makes them beat, gives life now and forever.

Changing Rules Doesn’t Change Hearts

Of course I want to see abortion stopped, it’s sad and tragic for everyone involved, but politics doesn’t change hearts, they change laws. If people stopped murdering and stealing because it was illegal, don’t you think the law would have been enough to do away with prisons? Don’t you think abortion clinics and prisons would sit empty if the law alone abolished sin? Abortion is horrible, it’s horrible for the loss of life and the loss of life that follows all who take part.

Choosing Who To Trust

Trusting the ways of man and our solution, over God’s ways is the same problem from the very very very beginning. Trusting ourselves, giving into our own desires and fears, over trusting God and fearing Him and His desire and plan  for our life is the only real choice we have. Even when we rally against abortion, are we trusting that a change in the law will solve the problem?  In the time that Moses was born, the king of Egypt had ordered all the Hebrew baby boys be killed because he felt threatened and when Jesus was born, King Herod had all baby boys in the area killed, because He felt threatened. God didn’t stop all the killing of babies that was ordered in Moses time or Jesus time, in the Old or New Testament.  When man’s power is threatened, he kills and God’s power comes into the worst broken messes and He saves and sends His own to do it.  God sent Jesus, as a baby to save all people, the very people that killed babies. God’s ways are not ours. We need to let people know before and after abortion that God is trustworthy to save, forgive and love us from death to resurrection, from now to forever.  I would love to see the laws change but I have absolutely no hope in politics or laws to save lives. Our hope is in Jesus.

This is us

Hi!

Daughter, sister, wife, mom, Gma, and friend is what I bring to the table.  There is only one, I AM, and it isn’t me. Jesus is His name and He lives in me and works in all that I AM, and all that I am not. Our work together looks like laundry, and sometimes we dance.  He cleans up all the messes and He is who I follow, in the dance of life.  My name is Jenay and I’m glad you stopped by.
