We see throughout the Bible and in our current news reports and tweets that when God does something unexpected the religious divide and get real big about it.
Everything we do for the Lord, helping the poor, going on mission, planting a church, making a commercial, leading a Bible study, or writing a blog post; we make mistakes. However, everytime we do any of these things we learn something new and we learn more about God.
I’ve been on both sides of this equation, the critic (God forgive me) and the criticized. The criticism almost always comes to and from fellow believers.
Let’s stop it!! Stop criticizing and start supporting. Let’s support each other in love and good works. May we celebrate when the Spirit moves. May we be in awe when the Spirit moves, rather than being in judgement. Even when the Spirit moves and it’s not in one of our services, programs, expectations, or timeline. Let us stop and take notice of the move of Spirit, rather than taking notes on how it is done and how it is done better another way.
Thank God for media, and even social media that allows us to hear about what is going on in other parts of the country and world. God knows we hear about enough bad news, thank God we also get to hear some spirit filled news.
Praise God we can hear and see pictures and video when the Spirit blows in and sets up camp at a college on a regular Wednesday without our approval, knowledge, schedule, plan or presense.
