Resurrection

There is no resurrection without death. There is no death of Jesus Christ without betrayal, sweating blood and being beaten beyond recognition. Jesus was mocked and abandon as He hung on a cross for the sins of the world. We can’t rejoice over new life without letting the old one die. This week is Holy, a time to remember, not just the resurrection, but the work Jesus did on the cross to give us His resurrected life. The weather is terrible outside and it seems fitting for the point of the story we are reflecting on before we rejoice and celebrate. Jesus is no longer on the cross, but it’s important to remember and be thankful for His-story, not just the parts we like, but the parts that are hard to think about. There was a great cost for our salvation, and when I remember what it cost and who paid for it, it is humbling and motivating to live in light of the love He paid for.

This is us

Hi!

Daughter, sister, wife, mom, Gma, and friend is what I bring to the table.  There is only one, I AM, and it isn’t me. Jesus is His name and He lives in me and works in all that I AM, and all that I am not. Our work together looks like laundry, and sometimes we dance.  He cleans up all the messes and He is who I follow, in the dance of life.  My name is Jenay and I’m glad you stopped by.
