We are living in a day and age when people believe they have control of everything, including their gender. This drive for control over everything is causing chaos and getting us completely out of control. We have so much self-help, self-love, self-care, self-awareness that we are completely self-destructing.
Reading in Exodus, about the plagues; before God, not Satan, God even begins to bring the plagues, and He was clear about what He was doing. He stated seven things He wanted His people to know that He was going to do, and one thing that they needed to do.
Seven Things God Will Do
God wasn’t concerned about making the world change their ways, or their policies. He was preparing His people for what He was doing for them and one thing they needed to do. The one thing He told them to do, wasn’t even a task they needed to accomplish; it was something they needed to know, to believe.
The seven things God said before sending the plagues:
I will bring you out from under the burdens…
I will deliver you from slavery….
I will redeem you…
I will take you to be my people….
I will be your God….
I will bring you into the land that I swore to give your ancestors…..
I will give it to you as a possession….
The one thing He says that they were to do….
Know that I am the Lord your God.
Will Power That Works
We can apply these same seven “will” powers to our life and every situation today. Before reading the next book on how to improve our life and our finances and our health, our parenting and ourselves in every way, shape and form, we should start with one thing…..
Know God; He is Lord.
Now add the seven statements that God spoke and apply them to any personal situation:
He will bring me out from under these burdens, deliver me, He will redeem me, take me as His own. He will be God and make Himself known, He will bring me where I need to be, He will give me everything He has promised.
Self-Help
In an effort to help ourselves, all we need to do is put God and His plan in front of everything in our lives.
Our part in all of these amazing promises and provisions…..Know God, know Him as Lord of my life.
