knowing Christ 1.) knowing Christ is being known by Him. Many people, these days especially, have “friends and followers” that they have no relationship with or knowledge of. I can know what you eat and drink and where you go and live and the details of your bedroom and bathroom decor, and you don’t even know my name or that we are “friends”. This can happen with God. We can know about Him and hear sermons and other peoples experiences with Him, but if we don’t come to Him personally and consistently we don’t really know Him and we aren’t known by Him. When the first sin occurred in Genesis 3 God said, “Where are you?” He didn’t ask because He didn’t know, He is God… He knows everything, but they were hiding and not making themselves known. They were not making themselves available and vulnerable and open with God anymore. Christ wants us to know Him and we must make ourselves available and vulnerable and open to Him personally and consistently in good times and in tough times. This picture is of my beautiful friend Pastor Irene and her beautiful friend that she has known since high school. Their long friendship and journey of following Jesus together in their own lives and ministries is a beautiful testimony that is even beyond the beauty in this picture. Know Christ and be known by Him, and you can see the beauty and smiles and friendship He gives us.
