All The Time and Money In The World

Time and money are two things that feel the most limited and least accessible. And yet we can serve and trust the God of eternity, the creator and giver of everything.

One of our churches’ consistent reminders when it comes to giving time and money is; God is generous and so are we.

Time and Money Can Stress Us Out

When we are stressed about time, my first question is; have I trusted and obeyed God with the time I do have?  Am I using it like He said? He tells us to take a day of rest. He calls us to Sabbath. It is interesting how hard this single command is, when it’s really like paid time off. We take a day off and remember who God is and things continue to grow and God continues to provide.  This rule of thought does not seem right to the world. The God who created the world is the one who said it and I believe he knows best, especially how to use the time He gave us.

Sabbath Is Trusting God With Time

Sabbath looks like rest and trusting God with our time and trusting he is good at managing the time He gave us. We often feel out of time; not enough hours in a day and days in a week, and yet God tells us to rest. Take a day off and make it about Him. Why?  How does this help us?  We don’t know, but we know God, and He is really good at what He does and He is the only one who IS.

Time and Money Go Hand in Hand

Our stress about time is often directly related to money. If we just had more time to work we could earn more money. This is what the world tells us. God does not believe this work strategy. God’s money management plan is about trusting, giving to Him, and sharing with others. Why would we need to give anything to him when he owns everything?  It’s about trusting Him with what He has given to us; having faith and taking action in believing God. Once we have trusted our lives to God we trust Him with everything, including our time and money.

Giving and Sharing Are God’s Plan For Managing Time and Money

We do it his way, even when it doesn’t make sense. Giving and sharing is the main money management strategy in the Bible.

As we serve God let us remember and rejoice that we have all the time and money we will ever need!

This is us

Hi!

Daughter, sister, wife, mom, Gma, and friend is what I bring to the table.  There is only one, I AM, and it isn’t me. Jesus is His name and He lives in me and works in all that I AM, and all that I am not. Our work together looks like laundry, and sometimes we dance.  He cleans up all the messes and He is who I follow, in the dance of life.  My name is Jenay and I’m glad you stopped by.
